Our research focuses on the intersection of clinical care, population health, social determinants of health, and policy. Our efforts aim to improve healthcare delivery, community health outcomes, and medical education across the learning continuum. Our innovative methodologies, including data science and artificial intelligence, impact and shape today's research landscape.

The College of Medicine engages in clinical, translational, and health systems science research by faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and prospective students to help improve health care within all levels of society. Our faculty pursue a wide range of research interests in several fields including cancer, genetics, artificial intelligence, ethics and health policy, epidemiology and public health, and substance use disorder.  The college recognizes and supports Boyer’s model of scholarship. The 51³ÉÈ˵¼º½ IRB safeguards the rights and welfare of human subjects who participate in research conducted under the auspices of the university and to ensure that subjects are aware of their rights and protections available to them.

Grants Administration

Grants Admin
The Grants Administration office provides administrative, contracting, and financial services to assist in the development and management of sponsored projects. The Grants Administration office is the point of contact for all elements of sponsored projects and grants, including proposal development, submission, contractual negotiations, financial reconciliation, and associated reporting.

Laboratories
51³ÉÈ˵¼º½ offers 64,400 square feet dedicated to state-of-the-art research laboratories. The laboratories available for faculty and student use along with lab technician assistance consist of bacteria labs, instrument labs, chemistry labs, and cell culture labs.

COM Research Solutions and Software
The College of Medicine Office of Research, Assessment, and Evaluation provides research support for a variety of programming languages, statistical software, integrated development environments, data visualization tools, machine learning, data management systems and tools, and cloud computing.
